MY REVIEW
This multi-starrer is by far the best Bollywood movie I saw in 2011.  The story is new and quite refreshing. It deals with friendship, love and the ups and down of life.   The thing that makes this movie a must watch is that it is not like any typical melo-dramatic hindi movie.  It is quite relatible.

The movie starts with Kabir (Abhay Deol) proposing to his girlfriend Natasha (Kalki Koechlin) at his Mother's birthday party.   Following this he plans a bachelor trip with his childhood friends Arjun(Hrithik Roshan) and Imran(Farhan Akhtar) in Spain.   Arjun being a workholic is reluctant to go, while Imran agrees readily as he himself has a personal agenda in Spain.   The trio commence their trip with each of them taking the other two to do an adventure sport they cant refuse due to a pact they made in school.  Katrina Kaif plays,Laila their diving instructor who soon befriends them and becomes a part of their trip.

Zoya Akhtar as the director of the film is fabulous.  Its quite impressive that how much she has matured in such a short time.  The direction is just perfect. But the best thing about this movie is its refreshing story. There are many sub-plots within the main plot that just add to the beauty of the film.  With Spain as its backdrop, the film explores friendship and love without being too melo-dramatic and with a pinch of humor.  Some scenes are extremely funny including the 'Bagwati Character' or the scene in the bar.

As for the performances Hrithik Roshan as always stands above all his colleagues.   Playing the workaholic Arjun who realizes the true meaning of life after meeting Laila was tough.   This character undergoes a tremendous change in the film.  Despite the limited screen time you get in a multi starrer, he is able to bring to the movie all his charm and experience.  Katrina Kaif appears to be the most improved actor.   This is one of the few films where her acting overshadows her looks. Farhan Akhtar, well what can this guy not do?  After directing, producing he came into acting and singing.  After a successful debut with 'Rock On' Farhan has always been improving.  Abhay Deol and Kalki have also done a good job.

The songs of this movie are also really good.   The album was one of the top selling albums of 2011.The songs have also been incorporated in the film at just the right moment.  The poems written by Javed Akhtar and narrated by his son's character in the film are beautiful.   They capture the emotions of the film really well.

Watch this movie, if you are looking for movie which are a little 'hatke' from the usual Bollywood movies.  It is a feel good film.   I am sure you will not be left disapointed with this film.
