MY REVIEW
Maybe the character of The Hulk is jinxed.  In the 3 movies till now, 3 different actors have portrayed Hulk. The thing that surprises me is that with each new film, the quality of acting has improved.  It started with Ang Lee's Hulk in 2003 which failed to live up-to expectations. T  hen in 2008 came The Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton and recently came The Avengers where he was portrayed by Mark Ruffalo.

The Incredible Hulk is a reboot of the 2003 film thus it deals with how Bruce Banner became The Hulk and how the hulk is both a bane and as well as a boon for the society. The film begins with Dr.  Bruce Banner escaping from a lab after the gamma experiment goes wrong.  The army chief wants to use The Hulk as a weapon  for the army and this along with the violent side-effects of The Hulk causes Bruce to take shelter in Brazil and learn to control his anger.   Things get complicated when the army is able to find Bruce and another Hulk is created to counter him.

What works for the movie is its far- better script as compared to The Hulk (2003).   The story is better, has better reasons for what is happening and why is it happening kind of things.  The character of the villain 'The Abomination' has been written really well as compared to David Banner in Hulk.  He is more ferocious, violent and destructive than David Banner's character which  is what makes this film more interesting. The budget of this film was around $150 million which I feel was well spent.  The hulk or The Abomination look as life like as possible. The action sequences are great and it is a must watch for all whether you like Hulk or not.

As for the performances, Edward Norton as always gives his films all he can offer.   His dedication towards his work is the main reason why he stands out in all his film.   Whether he plays The Hulk or Bruce Banner, he is perfect.   He is just made for films with dual personality (Remember Fight Club).  Personally I hated to not see him in The Avengers although Mark Ruffalo has done a fabulous job in that movie.   Tim Roth like Edward Norton had to do a dual role in this film.  Best known for his work in Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction, this guy looks determined to take his revenge from Hulk in the film.   Too bad The Abomination had a small role in this movie but still it will be remembered particularly for 'The Hulk smash scene.  Liv Tyler as Betty plays Bruce's former colleague and his love interest in the film. The chemistry between her and Bruce is one of the highlights of the film.  Unlike Hulk(2003) the General is not one of the main antagonist though initially he feels like one.

Overall The Incredible Hulk is a great entertaining film.Do watch it.
