MY REVIEW
Brad Pitt plays 1st special service force first lietanant Aldo Raine whose single aim in life is to run chills down the spine of  Nazis'. For this purpose he recruits several Jewish-American Soldiers who reportedly now 'owe him 100 Nazis' each'.He plans to assassinate Hitler along with other basterds that include Sgt. Donny Donnowitz( Eli Roth) and Omar ( Omar Doom).Christoph Waltz plays SD colonel Hans Landa who is better known as the 'Jew Hunter' in the film.Melanie Laurent plays the 'innocent' Shosanna who wants to seek revenge from the Jew Hunter for killing her family. There are several other characters in the film including   German film star Bridget von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger),Lieutenant Archie Hicox (Michael Fassbender) and obviously the leader of the Nazis, Hitler( Martin Wuttke) who make this film a treat to watch. The live of all the characters converge at the premier of a film at the cinema owned by Shosanna.

Quentin Tarantino's films are know to establish a cult status over the years. This film is no different. The direction is flawless as always. The thing that makes Tarantino's films stand out is not just its story or script but also the way it is executed. The chapter form of narration and the introduction of each character are some of the special features in this film. There are several scenes which simply raises the movie to another level. The first scene of the movie involving Hans Landa and the farmer simply shows the class of Tarantino. The way the basterds mark the Nazis who are left alive to deliver their message to Hitler is disturbing yet perfect. No wonder it took Tarantino over a decade to develop the script for this film.

As for the performances Christoph Waltz stands out in this film.In Tarantino's words 'Christoph Waltz gave me my movie'.He is mean,he is non-forgiving.He is everything the 'Jew Hunter' should have been.Brad Pitt as Aldo Raine is perfect for the role even though he looks quite old in the film. His accent in the film is also impressive.I was really impressed by Eli Roth in this film. His scene with the baseball bat cannot be forgotten easily.Diane Kruger is also charming in the film playing the German actress Bridget von Hammersmark.

The Background score in the film perfectly reflects the mood of the film.Kudos to the make up team for making the character especially Hitler as life like as possible.

This movie has some disturbing scenes in it which would at time make you turn your head away from the film. This movie has a lot of violence and is not recommended for people who cant stand violence or disturbing scenes in a film.

MY RATING 9.5/10
