MY REVIEW
The last MIB movie came back in 2002 and the last Will Smith movie came back in in 2008 (Seven Pounds).  So naturally there was a lot of hype and anticipation surrounding this film's release.  Did it live up to all the hype? Somewhat yes and somewhat no.

The Movie starts with Boris, the animal(Jemaine Clement) escaping from his prison(that is on the Moon!!).  He goes back into time to kill Agent K (the reason behind his arrest).   Now its upto Agent J to go back in to time to save his partner and as usual save the Earth.

The thing I liked about this movie was the 'creativity' in all departments.   A prison on the moon, time travel by jumping off a sky liner or the very face of Boris the animal got a big Like from me.
Also, the story of this film is written way better than the previous two films.Unlike the last two films, there is reasoning behind what is happening? and why it is happening?.  Also the 1960's created in the film looks quite life-like.The clothes people wear, existence of discrimination based on color, the Apollo 11 launch all looked quite in sync with reality.

Josh Brolin plays the younger K in the movie.  Filling the shoes of Tommy Lee Jones is difficult but this guy has done a fabulous job.  He quite easily perfects the accent and the very look/appearance of the older K.  It is quite believable that this what K might have been when he was young.   As usual Will Smith as Agent J gets most of the funny lines, the funniest being the scene shown in the trailers where he tries to copy the smile of his partner.  I loved Tommy Lee Jones in the previous two films.   In this film I feel he has been simply wasted.  The role isnt good and I was left with a desire to see him more in this film.

There are some potholes in the film such as How does Agent O replace Agent Z as the head of MIB even though it was shown in the previous films that K was the second senior most member of the MIB.   The romance between Agent O and Agent K is added for this film only.It was seen in the 1st film that K wanted to leave MIB to spend time with his wife, although it is suggested in the movie that he loved Agent O since 1969.

Despite these potholes, I thoroughly enjoyed this film.  It ain't a laugh riot but it is a pure entertainment film.   The best scene of this film is its ending where a huge secret is revealed.
It will be interesting to see, if there will be a MIB 4 or not.If yes, who portrays K is a big decision the makers would have to take.

MY RATING 8/10
