MY REVIEW

Leanardo Di Caprio plays Frank Abagnale Jr, a 16 year old high school student who lives with his father(Christopher Walken) and mother(Nathalie Baye).  Due to unspecified difficulties with the IRS the family faces a lot of financial problems.  This strains the relationship between Frank Abagnale Sr and his wife and they file for divorce.  Learning about the divorce Franks runs away.This is the beginning of Frank,the con artist.  Starting at the age of 16 he is able cash in more 2.5 million dollars even before he turned 19,successfully impersonating a Pan American pilot,a pediatrician and even a lawyer in the process.  Tom Hanks plays an FBI bank fraud agent, Carl Hanratty who has been given the responsibility of catching this con.  This movie is about the chase,the con and the love and hate relationship that develops between Frank Abagnale Jr and Carl Hanratty. 

Tom Hanks and Leonardo Di Caprio together in a film with Steven Spielberg as the director would attract any viewer but this isn't the only thing that is attractive about the film.The Storyline is perfect.It is well written, edited and finally executed.This movie is a combination of Genres.At times you just wonder what is going to happen next? How will Frank get caught or will he even get caught in this film.This movie has some hilarious moments throughout.I assure you that you would have a constan smile on your face throughout the length of the film.The film is set in 1960's and the makers have done a brilliant job in making the sets and locations look as vintage as possible.

This movie is inspired by a true story. The real Frank Abagnale Jr. did help in the making of this film.I feel that portraying a person who actually exists in the real world is one of the toughest job but Leonardo Di Caprio has done a fabulous job proving me wrong.He can be easily taken to be a 16 year old boy although hi actual age through the shooting of this film was 27 !! Tom Hanks as Carl Hanratty, an arrogant FBI agent whose sole purpose in life seems to be catching Frank has also acted well.

There are also other characters which include Amy Adams who plays the simple and innocent nurse Brenda Strong.She is the love interest of Frank.Martin Sheen plays Roger Strong, a law abiding citizen and the father of Brenda Song.There are also cameo by Jennifer Garner, Elizabeth Banks and the 'real' Frank Abagnale Jr.

This movie is a must watch movie for all those people who love light hearted movies with a message or people who love sensible comedy.
